How to use site merge in p:IGI+ v3
Running Site merge in p:IGI+ ensures that all sites are merged consistently.
It is recommended to use Site merge when:
- a project is being migrated into v3 from a previous version and the previous version was fully merged
- new sites are being added to a project
If boreholes and/or samples also need to be merged, it may be more appropriate to run Project merge or Sample merge.
For further instructions see:

When migrating a file into v3 from a previous version, it is recommended that merge is undertaken before running the Data QC tool.

3. Optional: Choose Merge within a sample set if you wish to merge against a filtered sub-set of the project sites.

4. Select Merge sites.
Step 3: Resolve conflicts for site merge
The Site merge stage 2 of 2 window displays proposed site groupings.
- Proposed candidate sites appear on the left.
- Details for each proposed site grouping appears on the right once selected.
Status icons beside each candidate site indicate how the sites will be grouped. Hover over the summary icons at the top for tool tips.
If many conflicts occur, consider refining the merge criteria (bottom left button).

- Resolve conflicts using one, or a combination, of the following methods:
Option 1: Resolve conflicts manually
a. Select a candidate site with conflicts
b. Select Next conflict >>
c. Choose the correct value using the tick boxes

Option 2: Auto-resolve conflicts
