How to import LAS files to p:IGI+ boreholes
To support the interpretation of geochemical data on depth plots, p:IGI+ now supports the import and storage of LAS V2.0 curve data. Learn how to import LAS files into your project and map curve data to specific boreholes.
Importing from LAS V2.0 files
Step 1. Choose your LAS V2.0 file
- Go to Project à Import LAS file…
2. Browse to your LAS file and click Open.
Step 2. Curve linking
- Select the borehole you wish to import the LAS curve data to from the dropdown list.
2. The import will attempt to a) autodetect if the LAS file contains wireline or mudgas curve data and b) use the curve alias information to link incoming curves to p:IGI+ curve properties. Users can manually edit linking by selecting curves from the dropdown lists or unchecking the Include? checkbox.
3. Once linking is complete, a linking template can be saved to improve import efficiency the next time you import a similar format file or from the same vendor who uses the same curve naming convention.
4. Click Import to complete the import of LAS curve data to a p:IGI+ borehole
Step 3. Reviewing Imported LAS Curves
1. Right-click on a borehole from the Sites and Borehole Manager
2. Click Open Borehole layer viewer/editor...
3. Navigate to Logs tab to verify the curves imported and linked to the borehole.
