Usage: Settings --> Edit settings...

How to use in practice

Edit settings... gives the user one place where they can edit the application & user settings.

The Project tab allows the setting of the preferred location for p:IGI+'s internal operating files & backup projects. Further details can be found here.

The user can set how many recently opened projects are remembered and easily accessed from within the Project --> Open recent menu.

The default project location is now a setting, so this could be placed centrally and shared across a company and its functionality has been extended to include using .pigi2 files as default projects as well as an _tpl file.

The Auto-artefacts tab allows the setting of the location for user and company template folders. This has been moved from the Project menu in v2.5.

The Metis tab allows the user to add, sign into/out from and select a Metis environment. The functionality for this is described in the Selecting a Staging database page.

The Statistics tab allows the customising of the row background colour for the statistics artefacts and the setting of their chart sizes.

The Fonts tab allows the customising of the font used across all graphs, maps and palettes and the changing of font sizes. These are now remembered between projects.

The Dashboards tab allows the setting of the default creation size for dashboards and will also update the size of any open dashboards.

The Graphs tab allows the setting of the default symbol size, colour and shape used in all graphs in a project. It also allows the setting of the default creation size for each graph type and updates the size of any open graph. These are now remembered between projects.

The Maps tab allows the setting of the default symbol size and colour for all maps in a project. It also allows the setting of the default creation size for the map and updates the size of any open map. These are now remembered between projects.

The Info Summary tab allows the user to define which elements of the information summary is shown on all visual artefacts within a project. It also allows the customisation of what is shown on individual artefacts.
